The firm ALBERTO HESSE TRIESTE di A. Hesse e P. Brusoni S.n.c.has been established in 1910.

The founder Adalberto Hesse (father of Alberto) started activity as international broker in coffee, drugs, colonial products as well as timber. Deeply involved in the Trieste commercial life, has been among the counsellors and partners of firms operating in Ethiopia, with two coffee curing mills in Dire Dawa and Gambela.

The present General Manager, Dr. Alberto Hesse, now nearly 90 years old, specialized activity mainly in Coffee from 1947 onwards, covering an important role on the coffee scenario.

In his capacity of Trade Advisor for the Ital. Delegation at ICO - Int. Coffee Organization, London, he fighted through the years, from the foundation 1962, for quality concept (until Res. 407 entered in force) affirming that growers have to be supported by proper remuneration and that elimination of low coffee from exports would have improved prices.

He has been President of Trieste Coffee Association (est. 1891) for nearly 20 years.

Dr. Hesse, also supported many Specialty Projects in Producing Countries, among which we like to mention the Itzalco Premium, of El Salvador under E.U. Project

Founding Member of the S.CA.E. - Speciality Coffee Association of Europe.

The thrid generation, Dr. Patrizio Brusoni, E.O. joined the father in 2001, to continue the long coffee family tradition and therefore attending the ICO meetings as Trade Advisor of the Ital. Delegation.

Active Member of Trieste Coffee Association, in his capacity of Ital. Chapter's National Coordinator of SCAE-Speciality Coffee Association of Europe he is working hard to improve initiatives at various stages to promote Italian coffee operators professionality in the world.
